Services

Three ways we help

01

Data strategy & architecture

A clear target state for your data estate, and a realistic route to it that the business and technology teams both sign up to.

  • Data strategy and operating model
  • Enterprise and information architecture
  • Target-state design and roadmaps
  • Architecture review and assurance
02

Data governance

Governance that people actually use: clear ownership, trusted definitions and controls that stand up to regulatory scrutiny.

  • Governance frameworks and policies
  • Data ownership and stewardship models
  • Data quality and lineage
  • Regulatory and audit alignment
03

AI readiness

Enterprise AI is only as good as the data it can reach. We help you give it governed, real-time access instead of partial snapshots.

  • AI readiness assessment
  • Data virtualisation, data fabric and data mesh
  • Semantic layers for analytics and AI
  • Power BI and self-service enablement

Point of view

Stop copying data. Start connecting it.

Most AI programmes stall on the same problem: the models only see a partial copy of the business, loaded into the cloud days ago and governed differently from the source.

A governed logical layer changes that. Data stays where it lives, policies are applied once, and analytics and AI consume the same trusted, real-time view.

  1. 1

    Assess

Understand where your data, controls and capability stand today, and what's blocking value.

  2. 2

    Design

Define the target architecture, governance model and a phased roadmap tied to business outcomes.

  3. 3

    Deliver

Stand up the first use cases fast, proving value while the foundations are built properly.

  4. 4

    Embed

Hand over capability, standards and ownership so your teams run it confidently without us.

Benefits

Built to change as fast as you do.

A governed logical layer isn't a one-off project. It gives you a foundation that keeps paying back as your business, your models and your technology move on.

01 · Evolve

Easy to start, built to evolve

Begin with one use case and a handful of sources. The layer grows with you, and the platforms underneath can be modernised or replaced as technology changes, without breaking what's built on top.

02 · Adapt

Change models without starting again

Business and data models will change. Because consumers are decoupled from physical storage, you reshape models and definitions in one place instead of rebuilding pipelines and warehouses from scratch.

03 · Prototype

Prototype fast, find problems early

Work with real data in days, not months. Data compatibility, quality and definition issues surface at prototype stage, when they're cheap to fix, rather than late in delivery.

04 · Agility

Agility for the business

Business teams can combine governed data to create new and unforeseen products quickly, without waiting on a technology project every time.

About

Senior expertise, directly

Red September is led by Scott Burnett, a data strategist and architect with more than 25 years' experience across telecoms, the public sector, insurance, banking and wealth management.

Most recently Scott spent nine years as Senior Executive Director for Data Strategy at a global private bank. He defined its data strategy and governance standards, introduced data virtualisation to create a unified data layer across 80+ applications worldwide, and led a data fabric that enabled a data mesh strategy and cut time-to-market for new initiatives by 40%.

Before that he led data warehouse and migration programmes at BT, including for large public sector clients, and held solution and data architecture roles in banking, wealth management and health insurance, from finance system separations to enterprise data models and cloud strategy.

When you work with Red September you get that experience directly, not a partner in the pitch and a graduate team on delivery.
